First Generation
On 1964 17th of april came the first Ford Mustang with no competition against other cars. Ford estimated that the sale on Mustasng would be 100.000 a year for the new Mustang 2 + 2 Coupé. In the end of the first year model year were more then 618.000 Mustangs moved, which was the most sea traveled Ford since Model A year 1927. Second generation
Before the first oil crisis in 1973, Ford was planning to make an all new 1974 Mustang much much smaller. For the first time a V8 engine was not available
because og the oil crisis. Instead was used a base models with a four cylinder, while the big engine was a V6. No matter the lack of the preformance the Mustang sold alot of cars. In 1974 about 300.000 units were sold. Ford Mustang 1974

Third generation
The third generation of Ford Mustang was build by Fox Platform which was used on Ford’s midsized cars. Ford wanted to have the car front-wheel drive but Ford fans wanted it to be rear wheel drive, so they did. It was possible to get the car manually operated or automatic. Ford Mustang 1979

Fourth generation
A lot of changes were made on the fourth genertations of Mustang. In 1994 to 1998 was an option to have a 3.8 liter V6 og five gear manual opperation. Mustang GT had a good performance with its 5.0 liter small block V8 and could go from 0 to 60 mph on six seconds. Thanks to the redesign and a powerful motor, Ford Mustang GT won the “Trend’s Car Of The Year”.Ford Mustang 1994

Sixth generation
The current generation of Ford Mustang has been through a lot of changes. Now the car is with fully independent suspension. The design update indicated that this generation is the world's first Mustang to be sold globally. There are four main engines available such as 310 horsepower, 2,3 liter EcoBoost turbocharged Inline-Four, 300 horsepower, 3.7 liter Cyclone V6 through 2017, 435 horsepower, 5,0 liter Coyote V8 and a 5,2 liter Voodoo V8.Ford Mustang 2015
